KENYA EPISCOPAL CONFERENCE
In an advert, 24 Catholic Bishops , have declared their support of Special Tribunal for Kenya; “we wish to remind all Kenyans that the Government of National Unity agreed upon a Special Tribunal for Kenya to be set as a court that was to sit within the territorial boundaries of the Republic of Kenya and seek accountability against the persons bearing the greatest responsibility for crimes against the people of Kenya relating to the 2007 General election in Kenya. This Special Tribunal was to achieve this though investigation, prosecution and adjudication of such crimes. We state our support for such a Tribunal to be set up nationally or internationally basis. This issue must be dealt with separately. It must not be clouded by other issues important as they seem to be. There must not be cover up of anyone or anything.”
